Public Transportation

 In order to have a vibrant economy our public transportation system has to work effectively. Right now on Hawai‘i Island we have a fleet of inoperable county buses. This forces us to rent buses outside of the county. Our transportation system operates differently than those on other islands where mass transit is currently operating more efficiently. This presents an opportunity to look to other islands and the mainland to source successful strategies. I plan to find solutions where we can adopt new practices and potentially save a lot of money for our mass transportation system.
