My skill set is bringing the right people to the table to solve problems. The challenges ahead are vast, but I’ve built partnerships within this community throughout my entire career. We have incredible people on this island, and I am confident that together we can accomplish great things. Going forward, it’s important that our entire island is represented. I will look to appoint people from all over the island to represent the various needs of each district. Under my administration I also intend on having myself and department heads physically utilize both the Hilo and Kona offices on a regular basis. Above all, it’s very important to me that we represent Hawai‘i Island with integrity. I will make it a priority to ensure that members of my administration treat everyone with dignity and respect.
